Ed Franklin
Ed brings a lifelong passion for farming, having grown up working alongside his father on the family farm in Sapperton, a tradition that spans multiple generations. This deep-rooted connection to the land has given him a unique understanding of the local landscape and a determination to prove how both wildlife and rural communities can thrive through sympathetic farming practices.
He studied Farm Mechanisation at Hartpury College before completing a BSc (Hons) in Agriculture at the Royal Agricultural University. Following his studies, Ed broadened his expertise by working on farms across a range of international climates, gaining valuable insights into diverse agricultural practices and crop production techniques.
As Estates Manager, Ed is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Sapperton Wilder Project. He works closely with local farmers and contractors to ensure the effective management and sustainable development of the estate.
